How to Use:
Place the honing steel on a flat surface with the tip facing down. Position the knife blade on the honing steel. During the process, the angle between the blade and the honing steel should be approximately 20 degrees.
Now, draw the blade down with a slight arc.
Repeat this motion on the back face of the honing steel to sharpen both sides of the blade.
Repeat steps 2 and 3 five to ten more times, alternating the sides of the blade. Attention: it is important to maintain the 20-degree angle and guide the entire length of the blade, from the handle to the tip, evenly along the honing steel. The speed of your movements is not important. Right-handed users should hold the honing steel in the left hand and the knife in the right hand. Naturally, for left-handed users, it’s the opposite.
