M390 steel is produced at Böhler’s factory in Austria. This manufacturer produces steels of excellent quality. This steel was developed for the injection molding steel industry. For these molds, the steel must be extremely wear-resistant, as the same shape needs to be extracted from a mold about 10,000 times, so the mold should not wear out between the first and the 10,000th use.
